IT staff from NRS Healthcare spent a day as elves to raise money for a charity close to their hearts.

Sonal Varia, Josh Wright and Melyvn Shipley donned their festive outfits at the company’s head office in Bardon earlier this month and asked colleagues to support them with donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, which is the UKs leading dementia charity.

There is currently no cure for dementia and every three minutes someone develops this progressive disease.

The team, who provide IT support to the company’s 1300 staff across the UK, raised a total of £248, made up from online donations via a JustGiving page and from a collection in the office.

Sonal, a Support Analyst, said: “Both my husband’s uncles died from dementia and so this charity is something that means a lot to me.

“I would like to thank everyone who has donated to this as this will go towards helping the four million people with dementia.”
