The team at Walton Summit have donated items to the Salvation Army Foodbank in Preston.

Colleagues brought in a range of non-perishable foods and toiletries which will now be given to those who need it the most.

Foodbanks have seen a big rise in the number of people using them. The Salvation Army uses its networks in communities across the UK to reach those who can no longer feed themselves, their families or who are cut off from other sources of support.

Sarah Masheter, a Warehouse Administrator, who helped to coordinate the collection with Mandy Wane, both pictured, said:

“The Salvation Army were very appreciative and said the donations would be a great help for people struggling at the moment.”

In addition to the food bank collection, the team also held a Christmas buffet and raffle, which raised £250 for Cancer Research UK.
