Recognition for our technology enabled care lifeavers.

We told the story earlier of Laurence and Sam, two of our West Sussex technology enabled care team, who saved the life of one of their colleagues. You can read the full story here.

We’re delighted to have further great news and to be able announce that Laurence and Sam have been awarded a GEM award.

GEM awards are given to those colleagues who have Gone the Extra Mile, over and above their expected job role and have been nominated by a colleague, a manager, a customer, or a prescriber. These nominations are reviewed by our GEM panel, made up of colleagues from across the business, with the winners being presented with a certificate and a cash prize.

We are exceptionally proud of all our GEM winners who have been nominated for all different kinds of actions; many of which have been to Go the Extra Mile on behalf of our service users and all of which have displayed our core behaviours.

Well done to Laurence and Sam who were surprised with a small presentation of their certificates by our Head of People Team, Lynne Cook.

If you have come across an NRS Healthcare colleague who you think has Gone the Extra Mile, please speak to your local service centre manager to nominate them for an award.
