Unwanted equipment can be collected, recycled and sent to those people who really need it.
If you have been loaned equipment by NRS Healthcare on behalf of Herefordshire Council and NHS Herefordshire, which you no longer need we can arrange a collection FREE of charge.
Currently we are only able to collect those pieces of equipment we need to recycle to keep stock available for everyone. This includes beds, mattresses, hoists and walkers.

Recycling and reusing community care equipment in Hull & East Riding
Help us to improve our service by returning equipment loaned to you by NRS Healthcare so it can be recycled and reused. This helps supply equipment to those who need it and reduce our carbon footprint.
Facilities in all our services centres means all equipment is cleaned, decontaminated, and refurbished, in line with industry best practice and current legislation so that it is safe to send out to send out to the next person.

There are different ways that you can return your equipment:
Small items
You can return cleaned small items such as:
- Crutches
- Walking sticks
- Toilet frames and plastic seats and toilet surrounds.
- Raised toilet seats (please clean as much as possible, if after cleaning they are still soiled then please dispose of them as normal)
- Rollators (3 or 4 wheeled walking aids)
- Bath lifts & Chargers
- Bed sticks (that help you get out of the bed)
