NRS Clinical

We are a dynamic team of passionate Occupational Therapists and support staff who genuinely care about the job we do and want the best for all who are at the receiving end of our services. We love doing things differently from the traditional and like to trial new processes – as long as it produces the best outcomes for all.

Our History

Our clinical team started life in 2010 with one Occupational Therapist based at our head office in Leicestershire. She was employed to give product advice to customers purchasing their own daily living aids. As the company recognised the value of Occupational Therapists to the core business of Integrated Community Equipment Services the team soon grew with OTs supporting contracts locally until in 2014 we had 8 Occupational Therapists all employed by NRS under the direction of a Clinical Service Lead who is also an Occupational Therapist.

Since 2014, with the successful implementation of new clinical projects and contracts across different sectors, the team has grown year on year.

In 2018 we started to employ OTs in NRS’ Telecare contracts and on our Wheelchair services contracts. We also won the contract with the Isle of Wight to deliver all statutory Occupational Therapy services for the Council.

We now employ over 55 members of staff, the majority of which have many years’ experience within Health and Social care and are fully committed to using that experience and their skills in new and innovative ways.

All our staff adhere to our Clinical Governance procedures and policies. All qualified staff are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and everyone has an Enhanced DBS check.

    Rachel Seabrook - Clinical Services Lead

    Rachel has been an Occupational Therapist for over 24 years work across a wide range of sectors but ending up running her own business for a number of years before been employed by NRS in her current role. Having rapidly grown the team since joining NRS in 2010 Rachel is now responsible for leading the NRS Clinical Team and all that brings with it! Rachel is passionate about her role and loves to bring out the best in people – both members of the team and service users.

    Claim to fame: Rachel's Grandad helped invent Cadbury's mini eggs!

  • Julie Blake – Clinical Manager

    Julie Blake – Clinical Manager

    Julie qualified as an occupational therapist over 30 years ago. She worked briefly in adult mental health before spending the majority of her career in adult social care, as well as spending time in independent practice. She's experienced in social care Transformation and LEAN thinking and enjoys leadership and change for service improvement.

  • James - Occupational Therapist

    James - Occupational Therapist

    James qualified as an Occupational Therapist 23 years ago, joining the team at NRS Healthcare in 2018 to head up our Wheelchair Services and Technology Enabled Care Services. He is passionate about high quality, person-centred care that delivers the best outcomes for people. James has worked as an occupational therapist for the NHS and local authorities, for the New Zealand health service and in independent practice. He has managed a social services occupational therapy team and for 10 years worked in a number of strategic organisational change and commissioning jobs, which included leadership roles to introduce personalisation, leading service redesign and managing contracts including community equipment, technology enabled care, carers support, mental health support, falls prevention, care homes, reablement and home care services.

    Claim to fame: Has run the Royal Parks Half Marathon in London, as the official mascot of the charity, wearing a 15kg giant squirrel outfit.
