For these individuals, their wheelchair is integral to living an independent life in the community.
NRS Wheelchair Services recognises that delivering an efficient wheelchair repair service has the potential to impact upon several of the determinants of public health such as;
- improving individual lifestyle by increasing independence
- improving access to transport and leisure
- increasing social and community networks and
- reducing social isolation.
NRS Wheelchair Services was established to provide an exemplary repair and modification service, responding to both emergencies and routine maintenance requirements that appropriately meet Users’ mobility needs. In this way NRS Wheelchair Services deliver a vital part of keeping people living as independently as possible.
