Supporting Charities & Communities

Both the company and its employees work to support local charities and communities in the areas where we have business facilities. Employees regularly undertake fundraising to support local and national charities through events such as 'Movember', 'Where it Pink' for Breast Cancer Campaign; 'Red Nose Day' for Comic Relief; and 'Christmas Jumper Day' for Save the Children.

NRS Healthcare undertakes regular activities to promote the work of Occupational Therapists (OTs), and aims to create positive views of disability by educating our young people and reducing the stigma associated with disability and age. NRS Healthcare OTs regularly visit local primary schools to help inform and educate students about disability, ageing and the field of Occupational Therapy. Students enjoy lively discussion about what it means to have a disability and have the opportunity to see and use daily living aids.

The daily living equipment supplied by NRS empowers individuals and allows them to continue living within the community in a dignified and independent manner. Our Educational and Rehabilitation products are also much in demand for donating to less privileged schools, good causes and establishments, both in the UK and abroad.

NRS Healthcare is working in partnership with Age UK Trading Ltd (the commercial arm of the Age UK Group) to offer a range of daily living aids for their new online shop Age UK Trading Ltd donates its net profits to Age UK and NRS Healthcare will aim to raise a minimum of £50,000 during 2014/2015 for Age UK through the promotion, distribution and sale of daily living aids.
